Netflix is adding 38 new movies and shows this week (July 30, 2023)

August is here and with it comes a ton of new movies and shows to Netflix! This week, there are lots of anticipated shows headed to the streaming service, including a new season of a very popular Netflix teen series, the second part of a Netflix Original, and a new version of a popular Netflix baking show.

First up, Heartstopper season 2 is headed to Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023. The new season is back and following Nick and Charlie as they navigate their new relationship and head to Paris for a school trip.

But they aren’t the only ones experiencing love and complicated emotions. Tao and Elle are seeing if they can be more than just friends, and Tara and Darcy are facing new challenges in their relationship. But just because there are struggles doesn’t mean there aren’t amazingly cute and sweet moments as well!

The Lincoln Lawyer is also back this week! Season 2 part 2 is coming to Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 3. Mickey will continue to fight Lisa’s case, but with this show, nothing is predictable.

We could see him getting the crap beat out of him again. Or who knows? Maybe Lisa won’t be as innocent as Mickey first assumed. It wouldn’t be the first time Mickey won a case for a guilty person!

More interested in watching a baking show? The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge is on Netflix on Friday, Aug. 4. Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres are back and ten new inexperienced bakers are ready to try their best at making complicated desserts. But this time, they will have the help of well-known pastry chefs. Will this make a difference in how well they do? Only time will tell. Whoever wins at the end will be awarded a cash prize!
