Happiness for Beginners cast: Who’s in the Netflix movie?

Trying to find yourself and romance can be challenging. And in the new Netflix rom-com, Happiness for Beginners, the main character Helen will be doing just that as she embarks on this self-identifying journey through the woods. Who takes on the role of Helen, and who else joins the central character?

The new film follows a newly-divorced Helen who has never taken any risks. She’s always played it safe. In an effort to reinvent herself post-split, Helen tries an adventurous survival course along the Appalachian Trail, where she’s joined by a group of quirky strangers and one man, Jake, who might help her find love again as well.

Happiness for Beginners stars Ellie Kemper as Helen. The actress is most notably known for her role as Erin Hannon in The Office, the titular character in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Becca in Bridesmaids.

Joining her onscreen as potential love interest Jake is actor Luke Grimes. He’s taken on the roles of Elliot Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movies and plays Kayce Dutton in Yellowstone.

Other notable cast members are Superstore‘s Nico Santos, Emmy Award-winning actress Blythe Danner, and Ben Cook, who is known for his stage work. Check out the cast list below:
