There’s hell to pay in the upcoming psychological thriller Sympathy for the Devil, starring Nicolas Cage (Renfield). From screenwriter Luke Paradise, brace yourself as David, also known as The Driver, portrayed by Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad), takes us on a heart-pounding race to the hospital for the birth of his second child. But just when you thought it couldn’t get any more nail-biting, he’s unexpectedly confronted by The Passenger (Nicolas Cage) at gunpoint.
If David refuses one of The Passenger’s orders, The Passenger retaliates by killing an innocent person. Overcome by fear and desperation, David finds himself trapped in a dangerous dilemma, torn between safeguarding his loved ones and confronting the relentless force that is The Passenger.
Will Sympathy for The Devil be on Netflix?
Sympathy for the Devil hits theaters and on-demand streaming on July 28. No word on what streaming platform it will be on after its theatrical release, but it will definitely be available for rent and purchase following its theatrical run.
Not only is Cage starring, he also serves as producer along with Alex Lebovici, Allan Ungar, and Stuart Manashil. RLJE Film Chief Acquisitions Officer Mark Ward says, “This is our eighth collaboration with Nicolas Cage, which includes Mandy, a critically acclaimed film that has a huge cult following, he said. Once again, he doesn’t disappoint. In this film, Cage and Joel Kinnaman bring to life a suspenseful tale on screen that will keep audiences guessing.”
