Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue have several problems they must tackle in Sweet Magnolias season 3. One of those problems is the new character Kathy (Wynn Everett). Kathy is Dana Sue’s sister-in-law and Ronnie’s estranged younger sister. Ronnie and Kathy stopped being close after he and Dana Sue was given ownership of Sullivan’s over her. Kathy believed she deserved to be the restaurant owner and that Dana Sue and Ronnie stole it from her. Still harboring a deep resentment towards her brother and his wife, Kathy arrives in Serenity on a revenge mission.

After some convincing, Kathy manages to pull Erik from Sullivan’s to work at Z’s place, another restaurant in Serenity where Kathy is the new assistant manager. Her plan was to dethrone Sullivan’s as the best restaurant in Serenity, and with Erik’s help, she believed it was possible. She knew this would get Dana Sue and Ronnie’s attention and anger them. And it wasn’t hard to persuade Erik to work for her because he didn’t know who she was initially.

However, once Erik does find out, he writes a resignation letter and hands it over to an employee at Z’s place to give to Kathy. Of course, Kathy doesn’t take Erik quitting on her well, and she retaliates by trashing the kitchen at Sullivan’s. She also leaves a one-word message on Dana Sue’s office door reading, “Trish.” Who is Trish?

Who is Trish in Sweet Magnolias season 3?

Although the police weren’t able to pin Kathy down as the culprit behind the vandalism, Dana Sue and Ronnie knew it was her because of the secret message left on Dana Sue’s office door. We find out who Trish is when Ronnie goes to speak with Kathy about the vandalism in episode 8 of the third season.

According to Ronnie, Trish was a code name he and Kathy used when they were kids. It was a word used to describe a woman named Patricia. It’s unclear who Patricia is, but based on how Ronnie describes her, it appears that she was an unlikeable person that Ronnie and Kathy’s mom didn’t like at all. Ronnie and Kathy made a promise never to be a Trish, and he accuses Kathy of being one since she’s causing problems for him and his family.

Although Kathy made sure to leave no evidence of her vandalizing Sullivan’s so that she wouldn’t be arrested, she left the Trish message because she knew that Ronnie and Dana Sue would know it was her. It was all part of her revenge plan.
