Suits is hands down one of the best legal drama series ever! It ran for nine seasons on the USA Network, ending its run in September 2019. Luckily, if you’re up for a rewatch session, Netflix carries seasons 1 through 8. To watch Suits season 9, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

Created and written by Aaron Korsh, Suits follows an intelligent college dropout named Mike Ross who uses his photographic memory to score an associate job working with a top corporate lawyer at the prestigious law firm Pearson Hardman, despite not having a law degree. As the show goes on, viewers watch as Mike and hotshot corporate lawyer Harvey Spector work together on cases while trying to keep Mike’s secret from coming out.

Patrick J. Adams stars in the leading role as brilliant yet unmotivated college dropout Mike Ross. Gabriel Macht plays the role of top Manhattan corporate lawyer Harvey Specter. The rest of the cast includes Meghan Markle, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill, Katherine Heigl, and many others.

Suits filming locations

Although Suits is set in New York City, the cast and crew didn’t film there for all nine seasons. In fact, only the pilot episode and exterior shots for the title sequence were shot in New York, according to the official USA Network website. Production primarily took place in Canada. More specifically, Toronto, Ontario. Production moved to Toronto due to the city offering tax credits for shows that are filmed there.

The show’s main setting is the fictional Pearson Hardman law offices. The exterior shots of the law offices are of the Bay-Adelaide Center in Toronto’s Financial District. But when it comes to the interior scenes of the offices, they were shot in Downsview Park Studios in Toronto, Ontario.

Sets were built to replicate New York City law offices with plenty of backdrops of New York used to line the set windows. The production designers even decorated the set windows with murals of the New York City skyline. According to Peerspace, the set windows had two banners: one used for daytime scenes and another for nighttime scenes.

If you were wondering where Harvey’s apartment scenes were filmed, they were shot at a penthouse in Toronto’s King West area located at 20 Stewart St., near King and Bathurst streets.
