With our list, you’ll end the Fourth of July holiday the right way.
So, without further ado, here are 3 Netflix shows to watch on July 4 and 2 you should skip over.
Netflix shows for Fourth of July 2023
Outer Banks
Watch! I don’t think much needs to be said about this amazing show. It’s one of Netflix’s best teen series, and its three seasons and upcoming fourth season should tell you that. Honestly, Outer Banks can be watched on any holiday if you ask me. But the Fourth of July is definitely the perfect time to stream this hit show.
Following a group of teens on a treasure hunt, Outer Banks just becomes better and better with every new season. The third season ends on a cliffhanger, and we can’t wait to see what the Pogues get up to next in the highly anticipated Outer Banks season 4. So, join the rest of us in watching one of Netflix’s most-watched series. I promise you won’t regret it!
Barbecue Showdown
Watch! It’s only right that we include a show about barbecue since we’re talking about the holiday where BBQ is the main dish served. Barbecue Showdown is a food competition television series following a group of the country’s best barbecuers vying for the title of American Barbecue Champion.
The contestants take part in many challenges that test their barbecue skills while being judged by barbecue legends Kevin Bludso and Melissa Cookston. Who knows, maybe you’ll find new ways to cook barbeque while watching this cooking show.
Resident Evil
Skip! I don’t know about you, but watching a show about humans trying to avoid being eaten by flesh-eating creatures just isn’t what I want to watch on the Fourth of July. Don’t get me wrong. Netflix shows like Resident Evil are great shows to watch. We just wouldn’t recommend watching them on this specific holiday. On this holiday, I’m looking for something light-hearted. Shows that make you feel good while watching them. I’m sorry, but Resident Evil just wouldn’t provide this.
Family Reunion
Watch! Unlike Resident Evil, Family Reunion is a Netflix show we strongly recommend watching this holiday. It’s a feel-good and heartwarming series about a family sticking together and leaning on each other through life’s ups and downs.
It stars Tia Mowry, Loretta Devine, Anthony Alabi, Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright, Richard Roundtree, Jordyn Raya James, and many others. Overall, it’s a show the entire family can watch together while munching on some good BBQ. There are a total of three seasons, and all three are streaming on Netflix.
Catching Killers
Skip! I’m sorry, true-crime fans, but Catching Killers is on our skip list. We’re not saying it’s a bad show. We just wouldn’t watch it on this holiday. Fourth of July is a day of celebration, and Catching Killers just isn’t that.
Be sure to check out these Netflix shows and have a great Fourth of July!
