Ciri is played by the talented English actress Freya Allan on the Netflix television show. But one question fans have been wondering for some time is the age of both Ciri and her real-life actress. Ciri is actually a bit older in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, the popular video game based on the books, but the television show adapts the books and not CD Projekt Red’s popular game.

We don’t know Ciri’s exact age in the show, but most outlets estimate she’s in her teen years, probably somewhere between 14 and 16. The Witcher can be hard to follow sometimes in terms of the timeline, so it’s not easy to say how much time has passed between season 1 and season 3, especially since season 1 jumped around in the timeline quite a bit.

Interestingly, The Witcher season 3 had a chance to address Ciri’s age in the first episode as Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri attend a Belleteyn festival. Geralt comments that Yennefer’s birthday is on Belletyn, and Ciri’s birthday is around the same time in the books. But it’s not mentioned in the show.

Even though Ciri is still a teenager, Freya Allan is quite a bit older than her on-screen counterpart. She is 21 years old, having been born on September 6, 2001, in Oxfordshire. At the time of getting cast on the show, Allan would have been around 17 or 18 years old since The Witcher first premiered in December 2019 and would have started filming before that.
