Don’t you just love a good horror movie? If you do, we have great news to share. Netflix is set to drop the psychological horror film Run Rabbit Run on June 28, and this one you’ll definitely want to check out!

Run Rabbit Run was directed by Daina Reid from a screenplay written by Hannah Kent. Additionally, XYZ Films and Carver Films were the production companies behind the movie.

Announced in June 2020, Emmy Award-winning actress Elisabeth Moss was attached to the project with XYZ Films producing and Daina Reid signed on as director. But in 2021, Moss bowed out of the film due to scheduling conflicts, and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Sarah Snook took over the leading role.

You might recognize Snook as Shiv Roy from the HBO drama series Succession. Later, Lily LaTorre, Damon Herriman, and Greta Scacchi joined the cast. I’m sure after learning about who’s in the cast, you probably want to know what it’s about. No problem! We’ve got you covered.

Run Rabbit Run synopsis: What is Run Rabbit Run about?

Run Rabbit Run follows a fertility doctor named Sarah whose life is upended when her young daughter Mia starts exhibiting increasingly strange behavior. Somehow Mia has unexplainable memories of a past identity. To save her daughter, Sarah must challenge her values and delve into her dark past.

Here’s the official synopsis via Netflix Media Center:

"As a fertility doctor, Sarah has a firm understanding of the cycle of life. However, when she is forced to make sense of the increasingly strange behavior of her young daughter, Sarah must challenge her own beliefs and confront a ghost from her past."

Like many horror films on Netflix, Run Rabbit Run is rated TV-MA. This means it’s meant to be watched by mature, adult audiences only. It was given this maturity rating for strong language and smoking. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend watching this with young kids around.
