Will The Walking Dead: Dead City stream on Netflix?

The flagship Walking Dead series might be over, but the franchise lives on just like its many undead denizens. In the latest spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) team up for a trip to Manhattan to find Maggie’s kidnapped son, where they discover a new location filled with beauty, terror, and plenty of zombies.

For those who aren’t quite ready to let go of The Walking Dead, this new show should be the perfect way to get a dose of horror this summer. Premiering this weekend, The Walking Dead: Dead City is already getting great reviews from critics. But will you be able to watch the new show on Netflix?

Will The Walking Dead: Dead City be on Netflix?

Since The Walking Dead is on Netflix, it’s understandable that fans might assume the latest series in the long-running zombie franchise might make its way there, too.

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that Dead City will come to Netflix. None of the other Walking Dead spinoffs are available on the platform right now. Fear of the Walking Dead used to be on Netflix, but it’s not anymore, and World Beyond was never added.

Netflix has some other zombie shows available, however, including All of Us Are Dead, Black Summer, Daybreak, and Santa Clarita Diet.

How to stream The Walking Dead: Dead City

The only way to watch The Walking Dead: Dead City is to get a subscription to AMC, either via the AMC+ app or through your television provider. AMC launched the show early for AMC+ users, so the first episode is already available to stream.

Otherwise, Dead City premieres on AMC on Sunday, June 18, at 9:00 p.m. ET. New episodes will air every Sunday, but AMC+ subscribers can view episodes a few days early. The first season will feature six episodes, with the finale dropping on July 23, 2023.
