XO, Kitty, FUBAR, and 5 Netflix shows most likely to be renewed in 2023

Will FUBAR be renewed or canceled?

Arnold Schwarzenegger made his television series debut with Netflix’s original action-comedy FUBAR. The series debuted in May 2023 with so much buzz surrounding it, including the streamer dubbing the star their “Chief Action Officer.” (If we’re being honest, The Night Agent’s Gabriel Basso should have been in the running for the job. Vice Action Officer? But we digress.)

FUBAR stars Schwarzenegger as Luke Brenner, a CIA agent nearing his retirement when he’s pulled into another job that reunites him with his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro), a fellow CIA agent. While teaming up for a common job with a quirky team behind them, Luke and Emma work through their issues with tons of action and laughs to spare.

Following in the footsteps of the aforementioned action-thriller The Night Agent, Schwarzenegger’s series also opened to some impressive viewership figures. In its first four days of release, FUBAR grabbed nearly 90 million hours viewed, and in its first full week of release, the series picked up another 88 million hours viewed.

Although not nearly as massive of a hit as The Night Agent, the action-comedy sure made quite the splash, and it’s a series Netflix will likely bet big on. The streamer has been ramping up its slate of programming in the action-spy-political-thriller space with the additional likes of The Recruit and The Diplomat, and FUBAR season 2 would fit right in with those titles.
