Based on the 2012 book of the same name by bestselling author Heidi McLaughlin, Forever My Girl follows a country musician who returns to his hometown in Lousiana for a friend’s funeral and to win over his one true love that he left at the altar many years ago.

Siren‘s Alex Roe plays the protagonist Liam Page, a famous country singer. In addition, Happy Death Day‘s Jessica Rothe plays the role of Josie Swan, Liam’s ex-fiancée he left at the altar. John Benjamin Hickey, Abby Ryder Fortson, Travis Tritt, Peter Cambor, Gillian Vigman, Judith Hoag, Tyler Riggs, and John Benjamin Hickey are also in the cast.

Production reportedly took place from August 2016 to September 2016. However, the movie was not filmed in Saint Augustine. In fact, Saint Augustine is a fictional town. The movie was primarily shot in Georgia. More specifically, the film was shot in and around Atlanta, Georgia. However, some scenes were also filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana.
