WARNING: Spoilers ahead from the Never Have I Ever series finale!
Does Devi choose Ben in Never Have I Ever season 4?
Yes! Devi ultimately ends up with Ben in Never Have I Ever, following a rocky season of mishaps, indecision, and tension. After Devi and Ben’s awkward sexual encounter at the end of junior year, they begin senior year very much not together. Ben goes on to date Margot, and Devi goes on to date bad boy Ethan. Both of those relationships come to an end.
In the series finale, Ben and Devi realize that they love each other, prompting Ben to rush to Devi’s house all the way from his summer internship in New York City. They sleep together, without the discomfort of the first time, and decide to be together. Devi goes to Princeton in New Jersey and Ben goes to Columbia in New York, allowing them to be a couple and chase their individual dreams.
Where does Devi go to college in Never Have I Ever?
As previously mentioned, Devi ends up getting into her dream school and attending Princeton. When she first applied to Princeton for early admission, her acceptance was deferred. Later, the school puts her on the waitlist. The kicker? She only applied to Ivy League schools and didn’t get into any of them. At that point, her college chances were looking grim.
The Princeton admissions rep suggests Devi resubmits a more personal admissions essay, a hoop Devi isn’t super excited to jump through. Ben inspires her to not only write the essay but to write honestly about her father, and she does. The new essay gives her the edge she needs to get off the waitlist and attend the school she and her father had always dreamed she’d attend.
Does Paxton go back to college in Never Have I Ever?
In the beginning of Never Have I Ever season 4, Paxton starts school at Arizona State University, but he doesn’t immediately take a liking to college life. He’s used to a certain social standing from high school, but in college, he’s not the popular athlete everyone looked up to. No one cares that he’s swim team heartthrob Paxton Hall-Yoshida. He gives it a few weeks, but he leaves ASU and returns to Sherman Oaks High as the new assistant swim coach.
Throughout the season, he begins to have second thoughts about leaving college, especially when the students who used to idolize him are now looking down on him. When he helps train Eric to improve his swimming, Paxton realizes he enjoys teaching. In the end, he returns to college at ASU to study teaching and ends up with fellow teacher Lindsay Thompson.
