After four seasons of coming of age and attempting to figure it all out, Devi’s story has come to an end with Never Have I Ever season 4. While she might be fully grown up just yet, she’s learned everything she can from her high school years, and she’s ready to take on college.

The teen romantic comedy series traces the entire high school experience of an Indian-American teenager in Los Angeles as she grapples with the grief of her father’s loss and everyday issues such as ambition, friendship, love, sex, and getting into her dream school.

Since the beginning of the series, Devi has been caught in a love triangle between her crush and school heartthrob Paxton and her sworn enemy Ben. The relationships she shares with them, and other love interests, have been rocky. But who does Devi finally end up with?

Do Devi and Ethan end up together in Never Have I Ever season 4?

No, Devi’s relationship with Ethan (Michael Cimino) fizzles out rather quickly and they do not end up together. In fact, Ethan only appears in a handful of episodes. She’s taken with Ethan in the beginning of the season, and so is Eleanor for a brief moment in time since she and Trent called it quits. Ethan had a glow up and he’s a bad boy, who accidentally spray paints an expletive on Devi’s car and pickpockets the Princeton admissions rep. Devi gives the bad boy era an attempt, but she and Ethan are too incompatible at the end of the day.

Do Devi and Paxton end up together in Never Have I Ever season 4?

Again, no — Devi and Paxton do not end up together in Never Have I Ever. The former couple seemingly feels the flame reignite when they are locked in the swim team’s locker room supply closet and kiss in the heat of the moment. However, the head coach catches them in a compromising position, thankfully missing the kiss, and reprimands Paxton, the assistant coach and school staff member, for being in said compromising position with a student… even if she is his ex-girlfriend. The kiss finally gives them closure, and Paxton ends up with Lindsay Thompson.

Do Devi and Ben end up together in Never Have I Ever season 4?

Drum roll please… Yes! Devi and Ben end up together in Never Have I Ever. Although Benvi had always appeared to be endgame since the first season, they had quite the winding road to get there, and that winding road continued in the final season. After having awkward sex, Devi and Ben spend the summer apart not speaking, and that angst carries over to senior year. Tension builds up as Ben dates Margot, but all roads led back to Devi and Ben.

In the series finale, Devi and Ben finally commit to each other after Ben rushes back to Devi from his summer internship in New York during her grandmother’s wedding. They get physical again, this time without the awkwardness, and finally commit to each other. Since Devi will be at Princeton in New Jersey and Ben will be at Columbia in New York, long distance won’t be so long. The final shot of the series finds the happy couple cuddling in Devi’s dorm room.
