The Ultimatum: Are Sam and Aussie still together? (June 2023 update)

Netflix just released the final two episodes of The Ultimatum: Queer Love, featuring the finale episode and the reunion. To say things get crazy and dramatic would be a significant understatement.

If you haven’t watched the newest episodes yet, you might want to turn back now before you spoil yourself! For this article, we’re checking in with one of the couples on the show, Sam Mark and Aussie Chau. Aussie had a challenging time on The Ultimatum as it seemed like Aussie wanted to run at any sign of conflict. Aussie’s trial marriage with Mildred did not end well, resulting in Aussie walking out on her partner.

Sam had a better time with Tiff; however, neither really made a romantic connection with the other. Ultimately, Sam and Aussie found their way back to each other and made an effort to fix their relationship. So what happens at the end of the show?

Are Sam and Aussie from The Ultimatum: Queer Love still together?

Surprisingly, Sam and Aussie are the only couple from The Ultimatum: Queer Love that are actually still together! The pair went through many ups and downs throughout the season, but Aussie proposed to Sam in the finale. Aussie started with a fakeout, gifting Sam a shiny rock (I guess Aussie was channeling Chase from Perfect Match) before actually coming through and popping the question to Sam.

Have Sam and Aussie gotten married yet?

At the reunion, it was revealed that although Sam and Aussie have not gotten married yet, they are in the process of wedding planning and even considering holding two weddings, one in the States and one in Australia. It came as a shock to most viewers that, of all the couples, Sam and Aussie are the only ones still together, but the couple appears to be doing well.

While talking to Tudum, the two shared that they’re more focused on their healing journey for the moment than rushing down the aisle.

"“We’re slowly getting there, but I just have so much groundwork that I’m doing with my life that that’s kind of taken priority,” Aussie explains, with Sam adding that the work they are doing together is “so much more of a commitment than just having a wedding.”"

That said, they have decided that the only two cast members who will be invited to their wedding are Tiff and Vanessa.
