About My Father starring Robert De Niro is not streaming on Netflix (where to watch)

Two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro made his return to the big screen with the comedy movie About My Father in May 2023. Continue reading to find out everything there is to know about the film, including where you can watch it.

About My Father is a movie helmed by Laura Terruso from a screenplay co-written by Sebastian Maniscalco and Austen Earl. In addition, it’s inspired by Maniscalco’s actual life and relationship with his own father. He plays himself in the film.

It centers around Sebastian, who is encouraged by his fiancée to bring his traditional Italian immigrant father to a weekend get-together with her wealthy and eccentric family. Although there’s initially a culture clash between the two families, they eventually come together, accept each other’s differences, and become a unified family.

Besides Maniscalco and De Niro, the cast comprises Leslie Bibb, Anders Holm, David Rasche, Kim Cattrall, and Brett Dier.

Sadly, you will not find About My Father on Netflix. However, it could eventually make its way to the streamer in the future, but that’s only if Netflix acquires streaming rights. As of April 2024, there’s no news on whether this will happen, but we’ll let you know if it ever does. So, for now, you’ll have to look elsewhere to watch the comedy flick. Another option is to rent or purchase the film through Amazon Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu, or the Microsoft Store.
