Lift falls under the creative partnership deal that Hart and his production company HartBeat Productions, have with Netflix. Hart signed a deal with Netflix in January 2021, where he will produce and star in four films exclusively for Netflix.

When is Lift coming to Netflix?
On May 22, Netflix announced that Lift will now be released on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024. The film will arrive on the streamer at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on this date, so make sure to mark your calendar and set your alarm.
Prior to the release date shifting to January 2024, Netflix had previously set the film for release on Aug. 25, 2023. A reason for the move to 2024 wasn’t provided in the Deadline report, but we know the movie will be worth the wait!

What is Lift about?
Netflix has not released an official synopsis, but we have a gist of what this film will be about. Deadline provided the film’s logline:
"Hart will play a master thief who is wooed by his ex-girlfriend and the FBI to pull off an impossible heist with his international crew on a 777 flying from London to Zurich."
Cyrus (Kevin Hart) and his international heist crew’s mission is to steal $500 million in gold from a vault on a passenger plane at 40,000 feet in the air.
