Picking up where episode 6 left off, Kitty wakes Q up to confess her dream to him which is when Min Ho inadvertently lets it slip that he had a sex dream of his own about Kitty. The pair both try to brush the dreams off as not meaning anything but their conversation is halted when Alex comes in to announce they’re all in big trouble as a result of the party.

We quickly learn via a conversation with Yuri and her mom, that everyone who was busted at the party is getting Saturday detention. For Yuri, because the press caught wind of the party, she and Dae will need to participate in a staged photo-op to provide a needed distraction. After her conversation with her mom, Yuri meets up with Dae and he confronts her about the necklace.

Yuri confesses that she was worried about losing Dae as a friend and didn’t think. She promises to return the necklace and heads to Kitty’s dorm to return it. Only she doesn’t find Kitty there and her roommate reveals Kitty has been sleeping somewhere else.

Instead of making nice, Yuri decides to wear the necklace to detention which quickly catches Kitty’s attention. She attempts to confront her, but Principal Lim walks in and beats Kitty to the punch, questioning why Yuri is wearing her necklace. Kitty says the necklace belonged to her mom, Principal Lim suddenly backs down and says she was mistaken.

When she leaves, Professor Lee follows her and says he recognized the necklace too as the ones she and Kitty’s mom had when they were younger. It’s then that he confronts Principal Lim for not telling him that Kitty was Eve Song’s daughter — again hinting at the trio’s shared past.

During their time in detention, Yuri and Kitty break off from the crowd and agree to put a pin in their drama to talk about what’s going on with their moms. Kitty says that while Principal Lim tried to act like she didn’t know Kitty’s mom when she introduced herself, there are so many photos of the pair together. This is when Yuri reveals that she’s learned Kitty’s mom and her mom were roommates. They try to look at the 1993 yearbook, but it’s the only one missing from the collection so they team up to try to find a copy in Yuri’s mom’s office.

Kitty and Yuri sneak off to Principal Lim’s office which is when Yuri discovers her mom sent Juliana away from school because she was a bad influence on Yuri. Kitty, meanwhile, finds a copy of her mom’s obituary in her school file. What they don’t find is a yearbook.

Their search next leads to Professor Lee’s home, which is where they discover the 1993 yearbook they had been searching for. In it, they see a photo of both of their moms wearing the necklaces as well as another photo that sees Kitty’s mom rocking a crop top while Yuri’s mom looks like she’s gained a junior 30. This is when Kitty seems to put it together that it might have been Yuri’s mom who was pregnant.

Yuri apologizes for taking the necklace and gives it back to Kitty. They race back to detention in time for roll call, but when they arrive Kitty gives Yuri a look that allows Q to easily put two and two together that Kitty’s dream was about Yuri.

After detention is out, Yuri stages a public breakup with Dae so that he can finally be with Kitty. She then texts her mom to reveal she knows the truth about the role she played in sending Juliana away in a move clearly designed to be a warning shot of the chaos Yuri is prepared to bring. With his fake relationship over, Dae races to Kitty’s side and they share a magical first kiss.

• Q and Florian become an official item and announce the news to Kitty and Yuri during detention.
• After detention, Kitty connects with Alex and shows him the yearbooks which is when he realizes Principal Lim could be his mother.
