XO, Kitty episode 6 recap: BYOB

As the episode begins, Kitty is enjoying breakfast when Min Ho enters the room and the two quickly begin their usual back-and-forth bickering. However, things take an unexpected turn when those tensions turn into that of the sexual kind. Just when it looks like the pair are about to make out, Min Ho awakens hinting he’s starting to catch feelings for Kitty — something that begins to be explored further as the episode continues.

From there, the episode quickly shifts the focus to Alex and Kitty. Kitty is convinced he’s her brother and is ready to shout it from the rooftops. She’s ready to introduce him to Lara Jean and Margot, and for him to get to know Professor Lee more. Alex, on the other hand, is ready to press pause on things and isn’t quite as eager to go all in on things.

When Kitty goes to Q to complain about all the drama unfolding including how Dae didn’t even acknowledge her gifting the necklace back to him. He tells her she should let loose and enjoy being a teen by coming to Min Ho’s party.

Her arrival at the party turns one head in particular as Min Ho is taken by the mystery woman who enters during the party only to freak out when she sees it’s Kitty. He’s clearly catching feels, despite his objections.

Kitty looks to stretch her wings and is determined to finally get her first kiss. She eventually meets a cute guy, but he wastes no time showing his true colors by dissing Yuri. Kitty wastes no time in shutting him down, making it clear she won’t stand for putting Yuri down — an exchange Yuri overhears.

As the night goes on, Kitty ends up having a few too many and drunk dials Alex, which tips him off on the party she’s at and the trouble it could get her in. She also becomes an easy target for the creepy guy she shut down earlier, who is eager to take advantage of her in her current state. Fortunately, Yuri is there to come to her rescue.

Elsewhere during the party, Dae is trying to figure out why Kitty has been icing him out which is when Q tells him it’s because he never thanked her or even acknowledged the necklace being returned via the carrier on Chuseok. This is when Dae realizes Yuri must have intercepted the gift and kept it from him.

When Dae attempts to tell Kitty what happened with the necklace, Kitty says she realizes what Dae sees in Yuri and how she makes her feel electric. Unfortunately for Dae, the party gets shut down before he can tell Kitty the truth and everyone scatters to get home.

The next day, Kitty greets Yuri after class to compliment her on her DJ set before asking her what they’re going to do about all of the tension between them. Yuri at first thinks Kitty is talking about Dae, but she quickly makes it clear she’s talking about the growing sexual tension and begins to move in for a kiss… which is when Kitty awakens from her own sex dream!

Odds & Ends

  • During a quick exchange, Principal Lim praises Yuri for not getting into trouble lately and says she’s happy Yuri’s happy — not reading the room and seeing that Yuri is anything but happy.
  • There’s a moment before they break up the party between Principal Lim and Professor Lee which hints there might be a past between them we haven’t yet learned.
  • After expressing interest in Min Ho during the Outdooor’s Club outing, Madison and Min Ho share their first kiss during his party.
