Netflix has finally released XO, Kitty, and this is a show we recommend adding to your watchlist if you’re a fan of the To All the Boys films.

XO, Kitty is a new Netflix original created by Jenny Han. It’s a spin-off series to the smash-hit To All the Boys film trilogy and tells teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey’s love story.

Last we left off with Kitty (Anna Cathcart), she had fallen in love with a boy named Dae (Choi Min-young), whom she met while on vacation with her family in South Korea. Despite the distance, they decide to start a relationship. That’s what happened in To All the Boys: Always and Forever. In XO, Kitty, we flash-forward four years later, and Kitty is now 16 years old and still in a long-distance relationship with Dae.

But she’s tired of missing Dae and not seeing him in person. So, Kitty convinces her parents to let her transfer to the school that Dae attends in South Korea. It’s a prestigious boarding school called KISS, the same school her late mother attended. While there, Kitty hopes to reconnect with her boyfriend and learn more about her mom’s life. But Kitty soon learns that things don’t always go as planned, especially when it comes to first loves.
