A Part of You release updates: Everything we know about Zara Larsson’s movie

If you’re a fan of either Young Royals or Zara Larsson (or both!), you’re about to be spoiled by Netflix. Not only is Young Royals season 3 on the way, but two of the series stars will star alongside the global Swedish pop superstar in the new Netflix movie A Part of You.

The Swedish romance film comes from writer Michaela Hamilton, director Sigge Eklund, executive producer Tim King, and was produced by Stefan H. Lindén and Alexandra Thönnersten. There’s no doubt that with the fandom behind Young Royals and Larsson, it’s going to be a huge hit.

While we’re waiting to watch the highly anticipated new movie, which could very well become of the best Netflix movies, here’s everything we know so far about A Part of You’s release, Zara Larsson’s acting debut, what the movie’s about, and more!

A Part of You movie updates

On May 15, 2023, Netflix officially announced A Part of You on Twitter, and fans of the Young Royals stars and Larsson were immediately excited about the upcoming movie. The streamer released a photo of the three main cast members along with the announcement.

Although details on its filming status weren’t readily available when the movie was announced, Netflix has promised that the movie will have a 2024 release date. Without more information, it’s tough to make a release prediction, though considering the genre, February 2024 could be perfect for the movie. If not, perhaps a big summer release would be the next best thing.

A Part of You movie cast

As previously mentioned, Young Royals fans will definitely be tuning in to see Felicia Maxime and Edvin Ryding share the screen once more. The pair also starred together in The Abyss. Of course, Larsson stans will be checking out her first-ever acting role.

Zara Larsson makes her acting debut in A Part of You

The 25-year-old Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson marks the first acting role of her career with the Netflix movie. When she was 10, she appeared on and won the second season of the Swedish talent series Talang. Ever since, she’s been leaving her mark on the music industry.

Larsson’s best known for her hit singles “Lush Life,” “Never Forget You” (with MNEK), “Ain’t My Fault,” “Symphony” (with Clean Bandit), and “Ruin My Life.” As of May 2023, Larsson has released three studio albums: 1, So Good, and Poster Girl. She’s set to release her fourth album in 2023.

Is there a trailer for A Part of You?

As of May 2023, a teaser and trailer have not been made readily available for fans to watch. For now, fans have photos of the three main cast members to behold until the first footage emerges from Netflix. Hopefully, more details on the film will be unveiled later this year, potentially at Netflix’s Tudum fan event later this fall. We’ll share a teaser trailer when it’s released.
