The long-awaited sequel to the 2018 film Searching starring John Cho is finally here. Find out where the 2023 thriller Missing will stream. Will the movie come to Netflix?

Similar to the format used during the first movie, where the story unfolds using technology and a computer screen, Missing stars Storm Reid as June, a young woman who must use the tools at hand to find her mother after she goes missing while on vacation in Colombia with her boyfriend. Due to the international rules and red tape, June has no choice but to do all of her detective work from home.

Will Missing stream on Netflix after theaters?

Yes! Missing is a Sony film, meaning it will be released on Netflix after its theatrical run thanks to a deal between Netflix and Sony. Other Sony films like Morbius, Bullet Train, and Where the Crawdads Sing are already on Netflix. But we will have to wait a few months before the movie comes to Netflix. The odds are we won’t see it on the platform until May or June.

Netflix is adding Missing to the platform on May 20.
