Missing: Dead or Alive is a new investigative Netflix documentary series that follows Richland County deputies searching for individuals who disappeared.

Fans of the true crime genre will want to add Missing: Dead or Alive to their calendars as the upcoming Netflix docuseries looks like a great new addition to the streamer’s crime catalog. The new series follows officers from the Missing Persons Unit at the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

Each episode sees investigators looking into various missing persons cases as they urgently search for people who disappeared under troubling circumstances. The series is directed by Alex Irvine-Cox and executive produced by Graeme McAulay and Stuart Froude.

There are four episodes in total in the documentary series. The first episode is the longest, at 1 hour and 7 minutes, but the rest fall between 31 and 46 minutes long.

The show’s first episode is about a missing woman who the investigators believe might be in danger. They find concerning details that prompt them to question her son.

Additional episodes include one about a missing 10-year-old girl, a man whose truck is found abandoned on the side of the road, and an episode where the investigators become concerned a teenager might have fallen prey to sex trafficking.
