Let’s go over those recommendations below.

Best Netflix shows to watch this weekend, May 5

Below are three recommended shows for this weekend, with two you can skip.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

WATCH! The prequel to Bridgerton tells of the origins of Queen Charlotte and makes the stories of the Bridgerton series even better. Told in flashbacks to the early days of Charlotte and King George’s marriage and in the Bridgerton timeline, this series shows what Charlotte and Lady Danbury endured to gain their place in society. It is a must-see for fans of the original series.

The Tailor

SKIP! The Tailor is a Turkish series that follows three people whose stories are intertwined by a wedding. The tailor is creating a wedding dress for his best friend’s fiancée; they all have dark secrets waiting to be revealed. While the concept sounds intriguing, the execution not so much. It is a tangled story that takes the viewer a bit to unwind. You are safe to skip this one, at least for this weekend.

The Great British Baking Show: Juniors season 7

WATCH! The junior version of The Great British Baking Show is too cute not to watch. It is the same premise as the original version, only these are young bakers, aged nine to 15, with massive talents vying for the grand prize of being crowned Junior Bake Off Champion.

Jewish Matchmaking

SKIP! The newest Netflix matchmaking series, Jewish Matchmaking, features singles in the US and Israel who leave the fates of their love lives to a Jewish matchmaker. Fans of wedding and romance reality series will likely enjoy this new series, but there are better reality series choices on Netflix to enjoy this weekend.

Beef

WATCH! If you have yet to watch Beef you need to take time to do so this weekend. This is the story of a road rage incident that goes terrible wrong and deeply affects the every aspect of the lives of the two people involved. What begins as a small incident triggers events that lead to something much larger and more impactful than could be imagined.
