Sweet Tooth fans, the wait is finally over. The highly anticipated second season is now streaming on Netflix! It’s been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait. If you’re looking forward to watching Sweet Tooth season 2, we must share with you the parents guide and age rating. That way, you’ll know if it’s okay to watch with kids.

Sweet Tooth season 2 picks up where the first season left off. Gus, Wendy, and other hybrid kids are held prisoner by General Abbot and his Last Men at the Preserve. Dr. Singh and his wife Rani are also held captive at the Preserve while Dr. Singh is forced to work tirelessly to produce a cure. Meanwhile, outside the Preserve, Aimee and Jepperd partner up on a rescue mission to save their kids and the other hybrids.

Christian Convery and Nonso Anozie reprise their roles as Gus and Jepperd. The rest of the cast includes Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani, Neil Sandilands, Naledi Murray, Amy Seimetz, Marlon Williams, and many others.

So, is the second season appropriate for kids? Here’s what we know.

Sweet Tooth season 2 parents guide and age rating

Like the first season, the second season is rated TV-14. This means it may not be appropriate for ages under 14. It was given this maturity rating for fear, strong language, and smoking. Given what the show is about, it makes sense why it may not be suitable for younger kids. However, it’s perfect for teens. So you should have no problem watching this show with older kids.

Is Sweet Tooth season 2 darker than the first season?

Although Sweet Tooth season 2 is rated TV-14, it definitely seems darker than the first season.

For example, there’s more violence and deaths in the second season in comparison to the first. This season also includes more intense scenes that may be frightening for younger audiences. Thirdly, there’s more blood since there are more character deaths.

Towards the end of the season, there’s a scene where several dead bodies are piled up. However, it’s not a long scene, and it’s not extremely graphic. Overall, we strongly recommend that parents check out the second season themselves before letting kids watch it.
