Cooking shows on Netflix: Iron Chef: Quest for An Iron Legend

Seasons: 1

Cast: Curtis Stone, Marcus Samuelsson, Dominique Crenn, Gabriela Cámara, and Ming Tsai

If you loved the original Iron Chef, then Netflix’s American reboot is worth a watch. While it’s not quite as intense as the long-running OG, it’s a lot of fun, and the challenges are inventive, as are the sets. Alton Brown is back to co-host the series alongside Kristen Kish.

Many of the original Iron Chef champs return to compete against one another and find out who will emerge victorious as the Iron Legend. Each episode features a challenger chef competing against an Iron Chef to prepare a dish with a secret ingredient, to be revealed by The Chairman (yes, Mark Dacascos is also back!). At the end of the season, the highest scorer has to compete against all five Iron Chefs.

Challenges include battling with live sturgeon, making the ultimate medieval feast, pastries, tailgating party food, and much more. For those who like high-octane cooking shows about more than just baking, Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend should be the perfect fit. You’ll have to watch the show to find out who wins the Golden Knife!
