With history being so full of amazing events and wonderful people, it’s expected for us to lose track of the exceptional talent that graced this Earth. Thankfully, we have titles like Chevalier to tell us about the lives of those who came before us.

The 2022 release follows the life of Chevalier de Saint-Georges, a talented French-Caribbean musician who rose to fame in the mid-18th century. Despite his unparalleled skills on the violin, the musician didn’t always have it easy as other musicians before him, especially because racial stereotypes prevented him from excelling.

What’s more, with society amid countless wars and revolutions, music was the last thing people wanted to focus on. Nevertheless, he pressed on and became a name that everyone knew and will know until the end of time.

Sadly, Chevalier is not streaming on Netflix and, most likely, never will. The film currently belongs to Searchlight Pictures (headed by Walt Disney Studios), a studio that seldom releases titles on Netflix. Hopefully, this will change soon, though!
