Young, Famous & African is a popular South African reality series that premiered on Netflix in March 2022. It follows the lives of a group of young, famed, and wealthy media personalities living in Johannesburg, South Africa. Viewers watch the crew of friends as they build their careers, search for love, and sometimes feud.

After a painfully long five-month wait, the show’s co-creator Peace Hyde announced that the show would be coming back for a second season through an Instagram post. But since Netflix never made an official renewal announcement, fans of the show were nervous that Young, Famous & African season 2 wasn’t really in the works.

Well, there’s no need to be nervous anymore because the streaming giant has just announced the official release date and released a teaser trailer for the second season. Young, Famous & African season 2 is in fact coming to Netflix very soon, and you don’t want to miss it!

The second season of the reality series is set to land on Netflix on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. The total episode count is unknown at the moment, but we can probably expect another seven episodes like the first season.

The returning cast members are Andile Ncube, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Nadia Nakai, Naked DJ, Zari Hassan, Khanyi Mbau, Swanky Jerry, Kayleigh Schwark, Diamond Platnumz, and 2Baba.

Here are the names of the new cast members:

• Bonang Matheba – Bonang is a South African award-winning television presenter and actress.
• Fantana – Fantana is a Ghanaian-American Afro-Dancehall musician.
• Luis Munana – Luis is a former Big Brother Africa contestant and is now a TV producer, writer, and creative director.
• Sebabatso Mothibi – Sebabatso is a model and socialite.
• Rosette Ncwana – Rosette is a supermodel and actress.
