Netflix is adding 17 new movies and shows this week (April 16, 2023)

A new week is here and that means Netflix is adding a bunch of new movies and shows to its lineup. The new additions include a new thriller starring Kerri Russell, a new Power Rangers movie, and a new Netflix Original rom-com.

First up this week is Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. It hits Netflix on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Whether you used to watch the show as a kid or are just getting into the Power Rangers now, this is definitely a movie you don’t want to miss.

The Power Rangers are facing a villain from their past and with the world’s fate at stake, they must once again be the heroes we all know and love.

The Diplomat and A Tourist’s Guide to Love coming to Netflix this week

The Diplomat is also headed to Netflix this week. It becomes available to stream on Thursday, April 20. The series stars Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Rory Kinnear, Steven Kree, and Danny Sapani.

The show follows Kate Wyler, a diplomat who lands a high-profile job that she is less than prepared for. And because of that, it puts her marriage and her political future at risk. Especially because her husband used to have her job and he doesn’t seem to want to let it go.

More in the mood for some romance? A Tourist’s Guide to Love is heading to Netflix on Friday, April 21. The new rom-com stars Rachael Leigh-Cook, Scott Ly, Ben Feldman, Missi Pyle, Glynn Sweet, and Alexa Pova.

The movie follows an executive who goes through a big breakup. Sounds like the usual rom-com, right? Wrong. She then accepts a position to go undercover to learn more about the tourism industry in Vietnam. Along the way, she might just find romance along with her new adventure.
