That will be a 2 a.m. CT release time for those in the Midwest. While it certainly is late, at least the movie is coming out on a Friday. Most of you will be off for the weekend the next day!

There’s a lot to come when the film is here! The film will continue the story of Uhtred, and he will have to decide whether his loyalties lie with the new King of England, or with his homeland of Northumbria, per the synopsis. When King Edward dies, peace in the land is threatened as his “two potential heirs,” Aethelstan and Aelfweard, fight for the throne.

Aethelstan was Uhtred’s protégé, but he soon finds that the young prince isn’t the same young boy he knew and has “fallen under a dark influence.” Elsewhere, Anlaf, the Danish Warrior-King, arrives to make problems. Will England ever be united? We’ll find out soon enough!
