5 most hated Manifest characters, ranked from worst to just pure evil

3. Adrian

If there’s a Manifest character that’s a true neutral evil, it’s Adrian (Jared Grimes). Since day one, he’s been a constant antagonist to the mission of Ben, Michaela, Saanvi, and those working to save the Lifeboat. He’s done everything in his power to avoid being of help and doing anything that serves him. As much as we adore Grimes as an actor, Adrian makes us angry.

Obviously, when Flight 828 returned, the public reception to the passengers was mixed and varied to say the very least. People feared them, people deified them, people targeted them, and everything in between. Adrian took gross advantage of the best option available and created The Church of the Returned and pushed snake oil on vulnerable people searching for something to believe in.

Adrian’s bad behavior has continued throughout the series, and in the final season, he’s continued to work against the Stones. He’s started a compound for wayward passengers and others, which later secretly includes Angelina and Eden when he finds them via Calling. Like Eagan, who happens to be his best frenemy at various points of the series, he’s constantly making horrible choices.

It’s tough to say who’s done more damage to the Lifeboat between the two, and that might not be the best measure of Adrian’s goodness. The bottom line is, he knew Angelina kidnapped Eden and helped her without telling Ben right away. He made that decision and sank his own moral Lifeboat. Adrian could go a million good things, but he won’t be forgiven for that.
