New Netflix movies and shows: April 1, 2023

April is finally here and with it comes a bunch of new movies and shows to Netflix. The first of the month always brings a ton of new additions to the streaming service. Not all of the new content is brand new, but it may be new to you or something you want to watch again.

April 1 brings a few films from an action thriller franchise, a bunch of classic films, and a few kids’ movies and shows

Three films from the Jason Bourne series are on Netflix on Saturday, April 1, 2023. The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum are all available to stream. While this isn’t all the films in the series, it is the first three and some fans would say, three of the best.

The movies star Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, David Strathairn, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, and Brian Cox

There are also quite a few classic movies headed to Netflix on April 1. The movies include A League of Their Own, The Birds, Matilda, and Psycho. While the movies range in genre from sports films to horror to magical kids’ movies, they are all considered well-loved classics.

If you’re looking for some things that the kids can watch while they are on spring break, Netflix has you covered there as well. On April 1, you can stream Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Hotel Transylvania, How to Train Your Dragon, The Land Before Time (1988), Puss in Boots,
Shark Tale, Shrek Forever After, and Thomas & Friends: The Mystery of Lookout Mountain.
