Wellmania cast: Who’s in the Australian comedy series?

Australian dramedy Wellmania starring comedian Celeste Barber premiered on March 29, and this smart, funny series is already charming Netflix subscribers.

Wellmania centers on food blogger Liv Healy. After returning to her hometown in Australia to celebrate her best friend’s birthday, Liv gets a health scare that forces her to re-evaluate her life and try different health and wellness methods to get herself back on track and advance her career.

Celeste Barber as Liv Healy

Australian comedian Celeste Barber stars as the lead character Liv Healy in Wellmania. Liv flies halfway around the world to surprise her best friend for her birthday in her hometown in Australia. While there, she visits the doctor and gets a serious health scare that prevents her from returning to the United States. Stuck in her hometown, Liv must quickly figure out how to get her life back on track or risk missing out on a huge career opportunity.

JJ Fong as Amy Kwan

At least Liv has her best friend Amy by her side while stranded in Australia. Amy is the whole reason Liv returned to her hometown in the first place, and she’ll be there to support Liv throughout her journey to get healthy.

JJ Fong is a talented New Zealand actress who has starred in several comedy series, such as Go Girls, Step Dave, and Flat3.

Alexander Hodge as Isaac Huang

Isaac Huang is introduced as a potential love interest for Liv. Played by Alexander Hodge, you might recognize the handsome actor as Andrew from Insecure or Philky from Black Lightening. He’ll also star in the upcoming Adele Lim-directed comedy film Joy Ride.

Lachlan Buchanan as Gaz Healy

No trip home in a comedy show would be complete without complicated family ties. Gaz is Liv’s brother, and he’s engaged to the handsome Dalbert Tan (Remy Hii).

Australian actor Lachlan Buchanan recently appeared in hit shows like ABC’s Station 19, Dynasty, and The Rookie: Feds.
