The Night Agent filming locations: Where was The Night Agent filmed?

Netflix released the new political conspiracy series The Night Agent in March 2023, and after only one day of release, the action-thriller snagged the peak spot on the top 10 shows ranking. That’s super impressive for a brand-new series!

Based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent stars Gabriel Basso as low-level FBI agent Peter Sutherland. He works in the White House basement and is in charge of answering the Night Action phone that’s not supposed to ring very often. But when it does, Peter’s pushed right into the center of a dangerous national security conspiracy.

While the series takes place in Washington D.C. due to its main setting of the White House, viewers might be wondering if The Night Agent filming locations actually included Washington D.C. or if the cast and crew made Canada look like D.C. We’re sharing the filming locations below!

Where was The Night Agent filmed?

According to the show’s IMDb page, The Night Agent was filmed mostly in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The IMDb page also lists Washington D.C. and Los Angeles as additional filming locations, but the parts of the series that were filmed there haven’t been confirmed.

As for when The Night Agent began filming, IMDb lists the production date from Feb. 14, 2022 to June 25, 2022. The series started filming in the winter months and wrapped production just as summer began. The cast and crew were in it for a while!

Did The Night Agent filming locations include Camp David?

While we know that The Night Agent filming locations included mostly Vancouver, the additional location of Washington D.C. might have some viewers wondering if the series actually filmed at Camp David for the season finale.

It’s highly unlikely that the series actually was given the clearance to film those intense scenes at the President’s country retreat in Frederick County, Maryland. The lodges of Camp David are located near the Catoctin Mountain Park, but what we see onscreen is almost certainly Canada.
