How many Night Agent books by Matthew Quirk are there?

The Night Agent is Netflix’s new action-thriller following a lowly FBI agent who finds himself plunged into a dangerous political conspiracy involving a Russian mole in the White House. Gabriel Basso plays Peter Sutherland, the young FBI agent. Additionally, Luciane Buchanan portrays Rose Larkin, a cybersecurity expert Peter teams up with and continues to protect after he saves her life.

Shawn Ryan created the super-tense and action-packed series. Like many other Netflix shows, The Night Agent is based on a book. It’s a television adaptation of the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk. But this isn’t Quirk’s only book. He has several other published books. But are any of his other novels Night Agent books? Matthew Quirk has seven published books in total, but there is only one Night Agent book. So, if there were to be a second season of The Night Agent, the writers would be starting from scratch because there isn’t any source material to work from. However, they could also choose to adapt one of Quirk’s other books for a second season. The story just wouldn’t center around Peter Sutherland. Quirk’s eighth book, Inside Threat, is expected to be released on June 13, 2023.
