Several mysteries have plagued Gilmore Girls fans over the years. How do Lorelai and Rory eat so much takeout and not go broke or gain weight? Who sent Lorelai the ice cream maker? But perhaps the most prevalent mystery comes from the Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Who is Rory’s baby daddy? Now we might finally have an official answer.

For those who need a quick refresher, the end of the four-part revival ended with Rory revealing she’s pregnant to her mother. But the show ends there before we get any further details. The revival was released in 2016, and we haven’t gotten any meaningful updates on the show since then. Once in a while, we hear from the cast and creator that they’re interested in continuing the show, but that has not come to fruition just yet.

Rory’s love life has always been a hot topic within the Gilmore Girls fandom. The debate regarding her best boyfriend between Dean, Jess, and Logan rages on even over a decade since the original series ended. But the revival narrowed down the dating pool significantly. Rory was engaged to a guy named Paul but cheating on him with Logan, a decision that still has fans talking and baffled.

But now, according to a new series of TikTok videos shared by A Year in the Life costume designer Valerie Campbell, we might have an official answer to the question of who fathered Rory’s baby.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life costume designer says Logan is Rory’s baby daddy

Yep. As reported by TVLine, Campbell said that Logan is the most obvious answer and she even took the time to rule out the other possibilities. She says Paul is unlikely because she would have had the baby much earlier and if the mysterious Wookiee guy, then, again, she would have been much further along.

Some fans were even hopeful that Rory secretly hooked up with Jess and it just wasn’t shown on-screen. However, that always seemed like a long shot since it doesn’t make much sense as to why the revival wouldn’t have further explored their relationship if they wanted that to be a real possibility.

“The only obvious choice is — you guessed it — Logan,” says Campbell.

She also alleges that series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino never understood the “mystery” aspect of this question because she felt it was very obvious. But when TVLine reached out to Sherman-Palladino, she simply responded, “no comment.”

It seems like the mystery has finally been solved! What do you think about Logan begin the father of Rory’s child?
