The Banshees of Inisherin is available to stream! This acclaimed black comedy-drama film starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson is an intense tale of a friendship coming to an abrupt and shocking end seemingly out of nowhere.

Colm (Gleeson) and Pádraic (Farrell) are lifelong friends until, one day, Colm informs Pádraic that he no longer likes him. But Pádraic is intent on figuring out what went wrong in their relationship, despite Colm’s assurances that Pádraic didn’t do anything—he just doesn’t like him anymore. Obviously, there must be more to the story than that!

The Banshees of Inisherin has received near-unanimous critical acclaim and is already on track for several Academy Award nominations. Farrell already won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor when the movie debuted at the  79th Venice International Film Festival.

Is The Banshees of Inisherin on Netflix?

Unfortunately, The Banshees of Inisherin is not on Netflix. Since it is a Searchlight Pictures film, the odds are that it will not be on Netflix in the future, either.

Netflix is streaming several Colin Farrell films, including The Beguiled, Ava, and The Gentlemen. If you’re a Brendan Gleeson fan, you can watch Comey Rule, Hampstead, Beowulf, Suffragette, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on the platform.

As mentioned, The Banshees of Inisherin is a Searchlight Pictures film. Disney+ and Hulu share the Searchlight Pictures streaming library, so their movies sometimes go to those streamers, or in other cases, like with The Night House and Antlers, they eventually stream on HBO Max.
