Sex Education season 4

It’s about time for a new season of Sex Education to drop on Netflix. It’s been over a year since the third season’s premiere, and we still haven’t seen the release of the fourth season. A brand new season of the teen series is typically released every year, but the release pattern was broken for Sex Education season 4. We should’ve seen the fourth season by the end of 2022, but principal photography started later than expected. The good news is that Sex Education season 4 will most likely be released sometime this year.

Production on the fourth season began in August 2022 and wrapped in February 2023. The new episodes are now being edited in post-production. We’re probably looking at about four to six months of post-production before the fourth season arrives on Netflix. This means we could see Sex Education season 4 released somewhere between June and August 2023.

But keep in mind that the editing process could take longer than six months, which means we wouldn’t see the new season until the fall. However, we believe the fourth season will more than likely be released in the summer of 2023.

Sex Education season 4 will see the students of Moordale attending a new college called Cavendish Sixth Form College. Meanwhile, Maeve attends Wallace University in the U.S.

Here’s the official synopsis via Netflix:

"Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier — their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, while Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students — they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. Over in the U.S., Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, while adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus.”"

Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Aimee Lou Wood, Chinenye Ezeudu, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, Dua Saleh, and many others reprise their roles in the fourth season.
