Red Notice was the most popular Netflix movie of November 2021, but it was not the best Netflix movie of the month, that’s for sure.
That title belongs to Passing, a Netflix movie starring Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga. This movie is so good, you guys. It went on to score BAFTA Award, SAG Award, and Golden Globe nominations after its release.
The movie is based on the book of the same name by Nella Larsen. It is set in 1920s New York, and it tells the story of Clare (Ruth Negga), a light-skinned Black woman who is “passing” as a white woman.
Rebecca Hall wrote the screenplay for the movie and also directed it. It’s Hall’s first feature film. Passing premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
We highly recommend you watch the new Netflix drama. This movie won’t be for everyone given the serious and emotional nature, but it’s definitely worth a watch on Netflix.
