Chris Rock returns to Netflix with his second stand-up special for the streamer called Chris Rock: Selective Outrage in March 2023. What makes this stand-up special even more special is that it’s Netflix’s first-ever live-streamed global event. So if you’re looking forward to watching this comedic genius’s new stand-up bit, we must share with you all the important details concerning its release.

There’s no denying that Chris Rock is one of the kings of comedy. In fact, he was ranked No. 5 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time. He went on to star in many comedy films and has garnered multiple accolades, including three Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards.

Now Rock is set to take the stage in Baltimore, Maryland, to tell tons of hilariously funny jokes that will have you laughing for days. And luckily, people all over the world will be able to watch it through Netflix since it will be aired live.

Chris Rock: Selective Outrage release date

Mark your calendar and clear your schedule because Chris Rock’s new stand-up special will air live on Netflix on Saturday, March 4, 2023. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rock is expected to do some of the same jokes from his “Ego Death World Tour,” including the bit about being slapped by Will Smith at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022.

If you miss the live stream, the stand-up special will be available to watch on Netflix afterward.

Chris Rock: Selective Outrage release time

On March 4, the stand-up special will be aired at 7:00 p.m. PT/10:00 p.m. ET. If you’re in the Central time zone, you’re looking at a release time at 9:00 p.m. CT on March 4.

There will be a live pre-show before Chris Rock takes the stage called The Show Before the Show which will stream at 6:30 p.m. PT. The pre-show will consist of commentary from fellow comedians such as Amy Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld. In addition, Ronny Chieng is set to host along with Arsenio Hall, Deon Cole, and Leslie Jones.

Later that night, a live post-show will air titled The Show After the Show with comedians David Spade and Dana Carvey hosting and JB Smoove and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as guests.

Unfortunately, the pre and post-show will not be available to watch on Netflix after the live stream so make sure to tune in when it airs.
