Outer Banks season 3 is finally here, and it’s time to break down the events that happened. What happened to John B by the end of the season?

Caution: There are spoilers for the whole of Outer Banks season 3 in this post.

There’s no doubt that a lot happened throughout Outer Banks season 3. It all picked up off the back of the events of the second season, and we had a lot of things that we wanted to see happen. Of course, there were also things that we didn’t want to see happen.

One of the things we were worried about was the loss of a main character. Once potentially reunited with his dad, would we see the end of John B? Was it possible that the show would decide to kill off Chase Stokes’s character?

Outer Banks season 3 spoilers: Does John B die?

With Outer Banks being renewed for season 4, we didn’t think it would be likely that John B would be killed off. That didn’t stop us from fearing the worst, though. There were some dicey moments.

John B faces death in the face in many of the episodes. Things kick off in episode 4 when a pair of smugglers attack him, and then he’s captured by Singh and his men during episode 6. In fact, John B is almost killed during that episode, with him being taken out into a field, but he is able to escape.

The biggest moment that we worried about was when John B’s house was set on fire with the Pogues inside. Fortunately, John B made it out alive. Yes, that was bigger than John B stepping in front of a gun-toting Ward in the finale.

What happened in the end? Well, John B made it out alive. Did we really expect something to happen to John B in Outer Banks season 3?
