All American season 5 release: When could season 5 arrive on Netflix?

Since its premiere on The CW back in 2018, All American has been one of the network’s highest-rated shows. It’s also been one of the most-watched acquired shows on Netflix, with each new season bringing the show into the top 10. So, when is All American season 5 coming to Netflix?

All American season 5 made its premiere on The CW on Oct. 10, 2022 and continued to deliver strong, stable ratings for the in-flux network. Because of its strong performance, passionate following, and veteran status, The CW renewed the series for season 6 in January 2023.

The fifth season made headlines for its Feb. 13 episode, titled “Time,” which saw the departure of a beloved main cast member, as well as a central character. Taye Diggs, who has played Billy Baker on the series since season 1, left the series in a shocking on-screen twist.

We won’t share plot spoilers here, but in the aftermath of this twist, more fans who have been waiting to watch All American season 5 on Netflix are wondering when the episodes will release on their watch list. Here’s what we know about season 5’s release date!

When will All American season 5 be on Netflix?

All American season 5 is expected to be released on Netflix by summer 2023. While the number of episodes the season will contain hasn’t been confirmed as of February 2023, the season will have between 16 to 20 episodes, based on its past episode counts.

The twelfth episode of season 5 will air on Feb. 20, which means there could be up to eight more episodes to air in the season. Last season, All American ended its televised run in late May, and the full season 4 began streaming on Netflix eight days after its season finale.

History could repeat itself and season 5 could end anywhere between late April and May with a Netflix release date slated for either late spring or early summer. For now, expect to start binge-watching the fifth season of All American sometime in late May or early June.
