Why did Too Hot to Handle stars Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey break up?
By Mads Lennon
The pairing of Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey is perhaps one of the most popular and polarizing relationships to emerge out of Netflix’s dating competition series Too Hot to Handle. Francesca and Harry were kind of the first “it” couple of the show, debuting during its first season.
They had obvious chemistry from the moment they set eyes on each other, and it wasn’t long before Harry and Francesca tried to make things work in a more serious relationship, becoming one of the main couples of the show, even becoming two of the season’s 10 winners.
Harry and Francesca were still together when season 1 ended, but seeing as Francesca is now a contestant on Netflix’s new Bachelor in Paradise-style dating show Perfect Match, we know they’re no longer an item. So what happened?
Were Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey engaged?
Yes, Harry proposed to Francesca rather infamously with a candy Ring Pop during the season 1 reunion special. They had broken up after filming on the first season wrapped and then rekindled their relationship during the reunion. But their engagement didn’t last long, as the pair broke up again at some point in 2020 before giving their relationship one last go and ending things for good in 2021.
Why did Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey break up?
Given how many times Francesca and Harry were on and then off again, it’s hard to say a single reason why they broke up, but they’ve both said that Harry wasn’t mature enough for Francesca. Various quotes from them say their relationship was “toxic” at times and at the end of one breakup, Francesca said Harry had been “disrespectful” to her, according to Us Weekly.
Overall, it just seemed like the pair weren’t compatible despite their chemistry on Too Hot to Handle season 1. Since their split in 2021, the two have been linked to other celebs, with Harry even dating another Too Hot to Handle contestant, Georgia Hassarati, for a little while.
Maybe Francesca will have better luck on Perfect Match. Tune in on February 14 to start watching the new Netflix dating show!
