But which romantic Netflix shows are definite must-watches this Valentine’s Day, and which ones are best saved for another time? We’re sharing our recommendations for your date night binge-watch on Valentine’s, Galentine’s, or any old day when you’re feeling the love.
Romantic Netflix shows for Valentine’s Day 2023
Here are three Netflix shows worth putting on for a romantic Valentine’s Day marathon, and two shows you can save for the next binge session, beginning below with Emily in Paris!
Emily in Paris
Watch! When it comes to romantic Netflix shows, there’s one that’s truly the ultimate: Emily in Paris. You can’t go wrong with Emily’s misadventures in love and life, which includes one of the most frustrating love triangles on TV… because both options are great! In the recently released third season, Emily hit her most complicated romantic snags yet with both Alfie and Gabriel, teeing up what will be a game-changing fourth season. Spend Valentine’s Day catching up!
Sex/Life
Skip! The long anticipated second season of Sex/Life arrives at the top of March, and the rewatches among the fans of the steamy drama series are surely beginning. Back in the summer of 2021, the series set the internet ablaze with its sex, viral moments (you know the one in particular…), and while you could get started on your re-binge this Valentine’s Day, it’s a quick binge that could be saved until just before the six-episode second season drops on March 2.
Virgin River
Watch! Because we still have a such a long wait to go before the expected release of Virgin River season 5 this summer, Valentine’s Day will be the perfect time to get your Mel and Jack fix. The fourth season of the series might have been the most romantic of the series yet as Mel and Jack finally get engaged and plan their lives together as expecting parents. There’s still a long road ahead for all of the Virgin River couples, but reliving the best moments is a good start.
Perfect Match
Skip! Unless you’re a huge fan of Netflix’s backlog of reality and dating competition shows, you probably won’t be super interested in Perfect Match. The ultimate dating competition series brings back fan-favorite personalities from many of Netflix’s hit reality shows to find their, well, perfect match. The first season releases new batches weekly, with the premiere arriving on Valentine’s Day.
Ginny & Georgia
Watch! The second season of Ginny & Georgia premiered on Netflix in January and helped push the romantic dramedy into the top 10 Netflix shows on all time ranking with half a billion minutes viewed since release. If you haven’t yet started watching the series, fall in love with the show everyone can’t get enough of this Valentine’s Day. There are 20 episodes of the mother-daughter series currently streaming on Netflix, and it’s a can’t-miss binge-watch for all.
