Red Rose premieres on Netflix on Feb. 15, and we know many people will tune in and watch. So to prepare everyone for the show’s release on the streamer, we thought we’d share the parents guide and age rating. This way, you’ll know if it’s okay to watch with kids present.

Some people might already be familiar with Red Rose because it originally aired on BBC in 2022. Fortunately, Netflix acquired licensing rights to the show, and now subscribers will finally be able to see it for themselves.

If you’re unfamiliar with the horror show, it’s about a close friend group who find themselves faced with a dilemma they could never have imagined after downloading a dangerous app on their phones. The deadly app forces the teens to commit acts and threatens them with dangerous consequences if they do not go through with them. The group of friends must then band together to put a stop to the app before they all end up dead.

Isis Hainsworth, Amelia Clarkson, Natalie Blair, Ali Khan, Ellis Howard, Harry Redding, Adam Nagaitis, Ashna Rabheru, Natalie Gavin, Samuel Anderson, and many others are in the cast.

Red Rose parents guide and age rating

Red Rose is rated TV-MA, meaning it’s intended to be watched by mature audiences only. It was given this age rating for strong language, substances, and suicide. Obviously, younger audiences shouldn’t be watching a show with this type of content involved. In fact, it may not be appropriate for kids under 17. So, we strongly recommend watching this show when no kids are around. Maybe wait until they’re tucked in a ready for bed. That way, you won’t be interrupted and can binge-watch the show to your heart’s content.

There are eight episodes total, and each episode is believed to be about 45 minutes long. You might be able to watch the entire season in one sitting. If not, we believe the best way to watch the series is by splitting it up into two binge sessions, with four episodes on one day and the remaining four on another day. However, it’s ultimately up to you how you want to watch the show.
