Happy New Year! We’ve officially entered 2023, and we’re super excited about all the new Netflix shows expected to be released this year and the shows that will return with new seasons. More specifically, we’re most thrilled about the release of Outer Banks season 3 and many other Netflix teen shows.

Sadly, we didn’t get to see a new season of Outer Banks in 2022, but we don’t have to worry about that being the case in 2023 because Outer Banks season 3 has already been confirmed for a 2023 release.

But what other Netflix teen shows are coming out this year? Continue reading to find a list of 10 teen shows either expected or slated to arrive on Netflix in 2023.

Netflix teen shows coming in 2023: Outer Banks season 3

We’re absolutely over the moon about Outer Banks’ return in 2023! The new season will arrive on Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023. You can expect 10 episodes to be dropped on this date with each episode about 40 to 50 minutes long.

We had figured that Outer Banks season 3 would come out on Feb. 23 since Madelyn Cline had accidentally revealed the release date during an interview. However, the streaming giant hadn’t confirmed this date until Jan. 3.

The third season picks up where the second season left off with the Pogues stranded on a desert island, which they officially name “Poguelandia.” However, this is a temporary home for the Pogues because soon they find themselves caught up in finding the treasure once again. With Ward and Rafe out for revenge and a new enemy also looking for the gold, the Pogues have to work together to stay alive, find the treasure, and hopefully, keep it this time.

You can expect the return of most of the original cast members including Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten, Jonathan Daviss, and Drew Starkey. Carlacia Grant, who was introduced in the second season as Cleo, was upped to a series regular for Outer Banks season 3. There are also several new cast additions such as Andy McQueen, Lou Ferrigno Jr., and Fiona Paloma.
