Is Dylan Arnold (Theo) in You season 4?

One of Netflix’s biggest shows ever is You, following the life of Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, as he tries to navigate his dangerous impulses and feelings. This dark, psychological thriller is sure to keep you hooked on every episode.

The show’s popularity has been attributed to its distinctive take on the psychological thriller genre, as well as Badgley’s powerful performance. It’s captivated audiences and has become a cultural phenomenon, and the fourth season has just finally arrived! You season 4 is split into two parts, with the first five episodes releasing in the early hours this morning and the remaining five coming out in March 2023.

This time around, Joe has relocated to London, England and is going by a new name — Jonathan Moore. Considering the fact that he’s in a new location again and faked his own death in season 3, can we expect any other characters to return in season 4? Yes, but not many.

Beyond Joe, the only other character from previous seasons who appears in You season 4 part 1 is Marienne, the librarian from season 3 who Joe becomes obsessed with. But even she has a very, very limited role. Of course, Love does not appear in the new season because Joe murdered her in the finale of season 3, and not even their son Henry is in the most recent installment.

Does Theo come back in You season 4?

All of that said, we can confirm the character Theo does not appear in You season 4 part 1, either. There’s always a chance he could show up in the second part, but as actor Dylan Arnold is not part of the official cast list, nor would there be any reason to bring him back, we don’t expect him to appear.

Theo is a supporting character from You season 3, a neighbor to Joe and Love. He falls for Love and ends up seducing her, something Joe doesn’t even really care about because he’s too busy obsessing over Marienne. Towards the end, Love attacks Theo and almost kills him, though in the finale we find out that he survived and is on the mend.

Though Theo became a fan-favorite character in season 3, his storyline is probably over.
