The massively talented Reese Witherspoon has been busy being the star she is on different projects, but the actress hasn’t been in a romantic comedy for a while. Well, that’s about to change with the debut of the new Netflix film Your Place or Mine!

The movie, out Feb. 10, 2023, stars Witherspoon as Debbie. The “practical, risk-averse” accountant loves a routine and doesn’t like taking chances, according to Netflix. She’s happy living with her son, Jack, in Los Angeles. When she needs to travel to New York for a week to take the final exam for her Masters degree, this presents the perfect opportunity for her to spend time with her best friend of 20 years, Peter, who lives in the Big Apple.

But when her babysitter cancels on her, there’s a change of plans. Her brand consultant bestie offers to watch Jack while Debbie stays at his home. The house swap is going to teach the two friends that perhaps they don’t know everything about each other, and “what they think they want might not be what they really need.” We’re going to take a wild guess and say what they actually need is each other. This is a romantic comedy after all!

Witherspoon is on the shorter side (don’t worry girl, I feel you!). The star stands at 5’1 tall. That’s a whole foot shorter than Kutcher, who is 6’2. Her fellow female co-stars, Tig Notaro and Zoë Chao, are both taller than her at 5’5 and 5’7, respectively.

Notaro takes on the role of Alicia, Debbie’s friend in LA, while Chao plays Minka who is one of Peter’s ex-girlfriends who becomes a friend to Debbie while she’s staying in New York. The film also stars Jesse Williams as Theo, a love interest for Debbie, Griffin Matthews, Rachel Bloom, Vella Lovell, and Shiri Appleby.
