You People cast: Who stars in the Netflix rom-com?

After a limited theatrical release starting on Jan. 20, You People finally lands on Netflix on Jan. 27. This is Black-ish creator Kenya Barris’s newest Netflix project, and it features a well-known ensemble cast. Are you wondering who stars in the Netflix film? If so, we’ve got you covered!

You People was directed by Barris in his feature directorial debut. He co-wrote the script with Jonah Hill. Additionally, Barris produced through his production company, Khalabo Ink Society. Also, Hill had produced through his company Strong Baby, and Kevin Misher through his company Misher Films.

The movie follows an interracial couple who finds themselves at a crossroads when they’re faced with meeting each other’s very different families.

Jonah Hill not only co-wrote the screenplay and produced the film, but he also starred in one of the leading roles. He portrays the role of Ezra Cohen, a LA millennial looking to marry his girlfriend. Besides You People, you might recognize Hill from his roles in many other comedy films like Knocked Up, Evan Almighty, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Funny People, 21 Jump Street and Netflix’s Don’t Look Up.

Lauren London plays the role of Amira Mohammed, a stylish yet laid-back LA girl who quickly bonds with Ezra after he accidentally gets into her car and mistakes hers for a rideshare service. London is best known for starring as New New in the drama film ATL. She also had roles in This Christmas, I Love You Beth Cooper, Madea’s Big Happy Family, Baggage Claim, The Game, Games People Play and Kevin Hart’sTrue Story.
