Women at War cast: Who’s in the Netflix series?

A new period piece titled Women at War is now streaming on Netflix. It premiered on the streamer on Jan. 19 and has already secured a spot on Netflix’s top 10 TV shows list. So if you’re looking for something good to watch on the weekend, we recommend adding this show to your watchlist.

Women at War is a French Netflix original directed by Alexandre Laurent from scripts written by a bunch of talented writers. In addition, Quad Drama produced the show.

It’s a miniseries set in France in 1914. France enters World War I, and women remain at home holding down the fort while men are sent away to fight in the war. However, this series centers around four particular women whose lives intersect as they are forced to deal with the harsh realities of war at home.

The four main leads are played by Audrey Fleurot, Sofia Essaïdi, Julie De Bona, and Camille Lou. Audrey plays the role of Marguerite, a Parisian prostitute. She’s best known for her previous roles in the TV shows Un village français, Spiral, The Bonfire of Destiny, Call My Agent! and Harlan Coben’s Safe. She’s also played the role of Magalie in the movie The Intouchables.

Sofia portrays the role of Caroline, a woman who becomes the head of a family factory. You might recognize her from her previous roles in the TV shows Aïcha, Insoupçonnable, Kepler(s) and The Promise. She also had roles in the films Mea culpa and Overdose.

Julie plays Agnes, the Mother Superior of a nunnery. She’s known for her roles in the TV shows Une famille formidable, La Maison d’en face and The Bonfire of Destiny. She’s also known for roles in the movies Quand les anges s’en mêlent… and Days of Glory.

Lastly, we have Camille, who portrays a nurse named Suzanne. You might be familiar with her previous work in the TV shows Mother Is Wrong, The Bonfire of Destiny, The Red Band Society, J’ai menti and Je te promets.
