Love At First Sight is directed by Vanessa Caswill from a screenplay written by Katie Lovejoy. It’s a film adaptation of the book The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith. If Caswill’s name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you’re familiar with her work on the historical drama series Little Women. Lovejoy is known for writing the screenplay for the Netflix original movie To All the Boys: Always and Forever.

Originally, Love At First Sight was an ACE Entertainment production with the production company financing and producing the feature film. But in April 2022, Netflix acquired global rights to the film, making it a Netflix original movie.
